On 9th of September 2015 for the purpose of realization of measures by State Program of Industrial and Innovative Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2015-2019 Department of Technical Regulation and Metrology Committee of Aktobe Region jointly with Aktobe branch of KazInSt RSE and KazInMetr RSE made a visit to Aktobe Rail and Section Shop LLP (hereinafter ARBZ LLP) which is included into Program for Industrial Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
ARBZ LLP is the only manufacturer in Kazakhstan of differentially heat-strengthened rails of high quality and medium sections which expects to cover more than 80% of the national market. Apart from that in 2014 the plant became a winner of special prize of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Altyn Sapa in category “The Best Industrial Project of the Year”.
During visit of the plant, apart from general introduction, the delegation participated in performance of special testing of full-profile sediments of rails on Drop Weight Test equipment. Testing was performed in accordance with the requirements of ST RK 2432-2013 «Differentially heat-strengthened and non-heat-strengthened railway rails. General Technical Conditions». Hereby it should be emphasized that for the first time such testing was carried out at the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Apart from that the some outstanding issues had been discussed related to the plant with regard to development and implementation of intergovernmental standards, frequency of plant normative base updating and suggestions for the draft Concept of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “About amendment of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “ Concerning the Ensuring of the Uniformity of Measurements”.
