The 19th Session of the Kazakh-Russian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation was held in Aktobe city.
First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin and First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Igor Shuvalov participated in it. They discussed further development of bilateral cooperation in various fields.
In total, over 9 months of 2017, trade turnover between the countries has increased by almost 30% and amounted to more than $11 billion. Deputy Heads of the Government of two countries have visited Aktobe Rail and Section Works. As of today, this is the unique company at the EAEU producing long heat-strengthened railway rails of R-65 standard. As soon as full capacity is achieved in next year, the plant will produce 430 thousand tons of rolled sections per year, including rails for high-speed network. Over 116 thousand tons of rails for total amount of 31 billion KZT have been produced within 9 months of the year. Main consumers are Kazakhstan Temir Zholy National Company and Uzbekistan, Turkmenia, Azerbaijan. The President of Russian Railways Company Oleg Belozyorov and Head of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC Kanat Alpysbayev signed Memorandum on cooperation. From now on Kazakh rails will be supplied to Russia. First 7,5 thousand tons will be shipped in a few days to Chelyabinsk.
“This year growth of trade with our EAEU partners exceeded 30%. Rise in exports on market of EAEU countries achieved 40%. It means that these are apparent achievements in the framework of our integration associations. All the EAEU member countries are committed to a constructive approach to resolving all emerging issues within the framework of the formation of such a global integration economic association”, Askar Mamin, First Deputy Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan noted.
“Leaders constantly have been saying that it is necessary to guarantee a real cooperation. The plant is the implementation of this idea. In the final form the idea is formed here in Aktobe city, and I hope, its products will be consumed in many countries of the world. In Russia we will be happy to purchase such high quality products”- Igor Shuvalov, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation said
The commission members also visited the Academy of Creative activities. Social object with an area of 13 thousand square meters is built within the framework of social corporate responsibility. Dozens of hobby groups for development of children work here.
