Aktobe Rail and Section Works (hereinafter referred to as ARBZ) has successfully completed the mastering and launch into production of R50-type rails, thereby expanding its product range, and has commenced certification testing of this type of rail.
In February 2026, the plant mastered the production of R50 rails of DT350 and HT260 categories in accordance with the requirements of the Russian standard GOST R 51685-2022, as well as DT350 and H260 categories in accordance with Kazakh standard ST RK 2432-2023. The plant’s products comply with the requirements of two interstate regulatory documents simultaneously, which significantly expands the geography of its supplies and makes ARBZ a more versatile partner for customers in various countries.
Rails of this type are widely used on access tracks of industrial enterprises, in open pits and mines, on railway switches, as well as on station tracks and sidings. In addition, R65 rails are in demand in urban infrastructure, particularly on tram lines where a special grooved profile is not required.
The mastering of the new type became possible as a result of continuous efforts of the plant’s technical and production departments to expand the product range and enhance the company’s competitiveness in the markets of Kazakhstan and the CIS countries. ARBZ continues to implement its production diversification strategy and consistently develops new types of products that meet the current requirements of the railway industry.
