The regional stage of the annual republican contest –  exhibition “The Best Commodity of Kazakhstan” was held on the initiative of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken” in cooperation with akimat of Aktobe region on July 11, 2018 in the city of Aktobe, in the building named Oner Ortalygy with the participation of more than 40 commodity producers of Aktobe, one of the which is Aktobe Rail and Section Works LLP.

The range of products presented at the contest is very diverse. These are food products, household chemicals, garments, building materials, advertising and souvenir products.

A panel of 12 judges headed by the director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Aktobe region, Nurlybek Mukanov, identified nine of the best producers in the three main categories: “The Best Goods for Industrial Purposes”, “The Best Goods for the Population”; “The Best Food Products.”

One of the three nominations named “The Best Goods for Industrial Purposes” was granted to Aktobe Rail and Section Works LLP  in the awarding ceremony.

As the guest of honor of the event – akim of the region Berdybek Saparbayev noted – the main task of the competition is to promote the saturation of the Kazakhstan market with high-quality products and increase the volume of products. During the last 6 months, entrepreneurs of Aktobe produced the products for 870 billion tenge. This is 5% more than in the same period of the last year.

In different years, various enterprises of the Aktobe region became winners and prize-winners of the contest-exhibition “The Best Goods of Kazakhstan” and the President’s Prize “Altyn Sapa”.

If to remind that in 2014, the laureate of the special prize “Altyn Sapa” of the President in the nomination “The Best Industrial Project of the Year” was Aktobe Rail and Section Works LLP.

In addition, the winners of the regional tour will present the Aktobe region at the republican level. It is worth noting that the winners of the competition are entitled to use the emblem of the competition for advertising purposes for four years, that is, to promote their products on the market.

On February 11, 2015 in order to support the national economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan the President N.Nazarbayev proposed to start the nation-wide action “Made in Kazakhstan” for supporting the domestic production, which goal is to increase the confidence of Kazakhstan citizens in domestic goods, work and services, increase the number of manufactured goods and their popularization among the population.

The Union of Legal Entities Association of Producers and Entrepreneurs “Made in Kazakhstan” was created for realization of these goals.

In order to increase the recognition of domestic brands, the logo “Made in Kazakhstan” was created with intention to identify goods produced in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The members of the Union are exclusively domestic manufacturers of goods, works and services that will use the collective trademark in accordance with the requirements for the general characteristics of the manufactured products set by the Charter of the collective trademark “Made in Kazakhstan”.

On March 15, 2018 Aktobe Rail and Section Works LLP was admitted to the Union of Legal Entities Association of Producers and Entrepreneurs “Made in Kazakhstan”, which gives the right to use the collective trademark “Made in Kazakhstan” within the framework of the company’s activity.

Funny holidays

Summer is a propitious time for rest. Traditionally, the children’s health camps of the Aktobe region have opened their doors for everyone who wants to spend their holidays fun and interesting, and most important – with the benefit for their health! Children of Aktobe Rail and Section Works LLP workers are not the exception. The rest for children became possible thanks to support of the Enterprise, trade union organization and employees of ARBZ LLP. More than 120 health camp vouchers have been procured for children aged 7-14 years for two-week arrival in four shifts in Asem summer health camp located in ecologically clean area of the city. Here, the child will not only improve the health and strengthen the immunity, but will also receive the necessary knowledge, communication skills. The program of the camp is aimed at supporting the creativity, developing the cognitive interests, creating a friendly atmosphere, the conditions for revealing the potential of each child.

The daily program includes not only treatment procedures and training, but also physical exercises, massage, swimming in the river, solar and air baths, visiting of a variety of creative and sport sections. Children are provided with a varied, balanced five meals a day. At the same time, parents pay only 10% of the cost of the health camp voucher, the rest of the cost, including delivery to the camp and back, was assumed by ARBZ LLP and the trade union organization of the Enterprise.

Organization of the children’s rest in ARBZ LLP is one of the important measures of social support, which is in high demand among the employees, therefore this event will be a good tradition of the Enterprise.

RZD purchased approximately 1,06 mln tons of rails following the results of year 2017, what is more by 11,5% than in 2016, TASS reports with reference to RZD.

“In particular there were purchased from Evraz company 719,8 thousand tones and  329 thousand tons of rails from Mechel. Additionally RZHD purchased around 7,5 thousand tons of rails produced by Aktobe Rail and Section Works (Kazakhstan)”, is indicated in the report. Among them 529,3 thousand tons of rails were procured with the length of 100 m including 315,8 thousand tons produced by Mechel and 206 thousand tons produced by Evraz holding”, RZHD commented.
In 2016 RZHD procured 947,7 thousand tons of rails including 404,6 thousand tons with length of 100 m.

RZD Logistics organized comprehensive delivery of 100-meter long rails with total weight of 7,5 thousand tons from Kazakhstan to Russia for needs of RZD. As it was clarified in the company, the project was realized in cooperation with Central Traffic Management Department, Transport Service Centre, Central and South Ural Traffic Maintenance Department.

In the course of meeting of Kazakh and Russian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economical Cooperation which was held on November 16, 2017 in Aktobe (Kazakhstan), RZD and Aktobe Rail and Section Works LLP (ARBZ) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. In accordance with the document, ARBZ is ready to export rails intended for construction of general-purposed railways and high-speed trunks to Russia.

RZD Logistics served as logistics operator for the shipment and in 5 days after signing of the memorandum the first train with long rails was sent from station named Kyzgaldakty of Kazakh Railways to station named Metallurgicheskaya of South-Ural Railway. Comprehensive service included development together with the customer of loading process, confirmation and approval of such process for the network of Kazakh and Russian railways, feeding of specialized train composition consisting of eight cars by four 25-meter platforms each, payment of tariff within the territory of the Russian Federation, execution of documents, inspection, monitoring of loading process, shipment with ensuring safety of the goods throughout the entire transportation route. Totally, there were sent 4 trains.    

Earlier it was declared that in year of 2018 RZD will consider an opportunity of steady supplies according to result of evaluation of the new rails.

In Aktobe region the range of manufactured construction materials has been increased.

For the first time in Kazakhstan, a steel angle has been produced here. A relatively new enterprise in the region, the rail and section mill, allows to ensure import substitution in many positions. The product mix of the enterprise includes not only rail products, but also dozens of types of sections.

A new type of domestic products complying with GOST has already been shipped to the local market, and also exported to Russia. The enterprise produced 1,500 tons of the 120th construction angle. A beam and a channel of different sizes are to be mastered next. The range of ARBZ product mix includes 27 profiles and almost the same kinds of sections.

“This product is used in the construction of industrial buildings, in housing construction. Such products were not produced in the territory of Kazakhstan before. This project will ensure import substitution and exporting to the markets of Russia and the countries of Central Asia”, Ivan Lysenko ARBZ Director for Production says.

Currently Aktobe region almost completely provides itself with construction materials. 90% of them are produced by local enterprises. Surplus of materials is sold to neighboring countries. So, dozens of companies from the CIS countries have already become interested in purchasing of the construction angle. But first of all the domestic goods are distributed between main bases of Kazakhstan. Main end sellers of rolled metal products purchase large quantities of local products, which compete well with the imported analogues.

“The quality of our rolled metal products is as good as analogues, just a name of few, the reinforced products, the first “Kazakh” angle produced in ARBZ. People’s recalls of our products are very positive. The almost all quantity that was purchased has been sold. Our products are purchased by big enterprises as well as business owners” according to Samal Simbinov, Representative of Steel and Metal Warehouse.

The economy of the region is simultaneously developing in different areas. The growth of industry is provided by new enterprises, and domestic product 105% growth is forecasted. “The industrial portfolio is changing”, said in the region. With a decrease in oil production, the manufacturing industry in the region is growing.

Kairat Bekenov Deputy Akim of Aktobe region said, “The new enterprises introduced within the framework of State program of Accelerated Industrial and Innovative Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan now are delivering a new benefit to the development of our region in figures, in the economy, in the return of taxes. We also see potential of industrial growth in creation of new production enterprises within the framework of conditions created by the government. The Government spent over 5 billion Tenge for investment for an industrial sector and platform for a business. At the present moment 13 companies applied for a new a projects in industrial sector and the total amount of projects is 88 billion Tenge as of today”

The so-called “platform for business” is built up by new plants. More than half of the territory of the industrial sector is already occupied. It is expected that 1700 working places will be created in this sector. Subsequently, at full development, the number of employed people will double.

Aktobe region exported the goods for the amount of $ 964 million to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, as reported by the department for foreign relations of the region according to  24.kz.

Data for 10 months of the last year. The bulk of exports, in particular 96%, has been sent to Russia. These are metals, ferroalloys and rails, which were produced at the local enterprises. In the second group, there are oil, oil products, chrome and copper ore.

This year, the volume of export of the goods as beef, pork, dairy products will increase. Healthy foods of good quality are in high demand in the neighboring country.

It should be noted that the general commodity turnover of Aktobe region amounted to more than $ 4 billion last year. Most of the goods are from China, Japan and Russia.

 “Compared to the same period in 2016 export has grown by 71%. Such results have been achieved due to the enterprises such as Aktobe Ferroalloy Plant, Aktobe Rail and Section Works. Existing growth of export is linked to the growth in their production,” Yermek Kenzhekhanuly, Head of the Department for External Relations and Tourism of Aktobe region commented.
